Broadway Magic was a joint fund raising project run by the Rotary Clubs of Newlands and Constantia at Artscape Opera House on April 1 and 2, 2005.

It took the form of a concert  with a variety of song and dance from famous Broadway Musicals.  The performance featured top Cape Town professionals & UCT Opera students and was directed by Aviva Pelham with music arranged and directed by Newlands Rotarian, Bill Holland.

The project raised R 86,000 which provided –

• Bursaries for deserving members of the UCT Opera School;
• Funds for the Glendale Home for the Disabled;
• An opportunity to promote & showcase local talent;
• Entertainment for less privileged youth through an “outreach” matinee performance on Saturday April 1st.
